SHS – State Health Society is accepting online applications for the position of “Community Health Officer” (on a contract basis) as part of the National Health Mission. This position is responsible for leading the primary care provider team at Health & Wellness Centres (H&WCs), which includes female health workers, male health workers, ASHAs, and others, to improve the implementation of public health programmes, including illness prevention and health promotion, and the provision of comprehensive primary health care services.

The Community Health Officer (CHO) would be paid a monthly honorarium of Rs. 25,000 plus a performance-based incentive of Rs. 15,000 depending on indicators, subject to approval by the National Health Mission, Government of India. 

Eligible individuals can apply online through at statehealthsocietybihar.org from 11th February to 3rd March, 2022. A total of 4050 vacancies have been announced for the aforementioned positions.
