The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is the state’s premier commission in charge of organizing recruitment exams and procedures for hiring employees and officers to various government departments.
It is a body empowered by the Indian Constitution to select applicants for civil service jobs in the Indian state of Rajasthan on the basis of their qualifications and reservation rules.
It advises the Rajasthan government on all matters concerning civil servant recruitment, appointment, transfer, promotion, professional standards, and disciplinary action.
The commission arranges recruitment procedures, competitive examinations and screening tests, and candidate interview boards for officers to be appointed to civil service and civil posts within the state in this capacity.
It was established in 1949, when Rajasthan became a state. The commission is made up of eight members who are supported and advised by the secretariat.
Its headquarters are in Ajmer.
