NCR

The North Central Railway (NCR) is known as the Workhorse of Indian Railways, and it is divided into three divisions: Prayagraj, Jhansi, and Agra. It connects Ghaziabad (excl.) in the north to Mughalsarai (excl.) in the east via the New Delhi Howarah trunk route, and Palwal (excl.) to Bina (excl.) via the New Delhi Mumbai/ Chennai corridor. North Central Railway, also known as the “heartbeat of Indian Railways,” spans parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, with approximately 3062 route kilometres of BG consisting primarily of double line- electrified sections defining the sides and diagonals of the Golden Quadrilateral.
