Join Indian Army

The Join Indian Army is the land-based branch of the Indian Armed Forces and its major component.

The Indian Army is led by the President of India, with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), a four-star general, as its professional commander.
Two officers have been given the five-star rank of field marshal, which is a ceremonial post of great honour.
The Indian Army evolved from the East India Company’s troops, which later became the British Indian Army, and the princely states’ armies, which were combined into the national army after independence.

The Indian Army’s troops and regiments have a rich history and have fought in numerous battles and campaigns around the world, earning numerous combat and theatre honours both before and after Independence.
