IBPS 2022 – Institute of Banking Personnel Selection
IBPS 2022 – Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a central recruitment agency controlled by the Ministry of Finance and field of employment.
The scheme was established by the Government of India to encourage the recruitment and placement of young.
Undergraduates, postgraduates, and doctorates at the ranks of Group ‘A’ officer, Group ‘B’ officer, Group ‘C’ person employed, and Group ‘D’ staff in nationalised banks and regional rural banks in India.
It also provides organisations with standardised systems for assessment and result processing.
After Indian banks were nationalised in 1969, they needed to extend their branch network across the country to be more accessible to their customers.
This necessitated more personnel, but traditional techniques of recruiting, such as advertising, were ineffective.
As a result, the banks enlisted the help of the National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM) to create a selection testing process that would allow them to acquire qualified applicants.
As a result, Personnel Selection Services (PSS) was founded as a small organisation to handle these types of initiatives.
PSS was renamed IBPS a few years later, in 1984.
Previously, candidates had to sit for three exams, one for each bank, in order to be considered for a position.
However, the recruitment process has modified since 2012.
It now runs four main recruiting processes for the banking sector.
Namely CRP PO/MT, CRP RRBs, CRP Clerical, and CRP Specialist Officers, for which several exams are held every year.
