Screening & Shortlisting

The minimal qualifying marks that candidates must get in order to receive the relevant educational qualification.

• 60% for General Candidates.
• 55% for OBC-NCL (Non Creamy Layer) Candidates.
• 50% for SC/ST Candidates.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for screening and verification of original documents based on the percentage (percent) of marks received.

 

There will be a preference for

• Candidates who have passed the GATE exam Score on the GATE (i.e. between year 2016 and 2021).
• Candidates for B.Tech.
• Candidates for a Diploma.

Note: The date, time, and location for document verification will be emailed to qualified short-listed candidates in due course, and such information will also be available on the North Central Railway’s official website and on www.rrcpryj.org

Reservation

Reservations are made for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL (Non Creamy Layer), and EWS, where appropriate and permissible under current laws. 

Note 1 – While all candidates, regardless of community, may be considered for UR openings, those targeted for specific communities (SC/ST/OBC NCL (Non Creamy Layer)) will be evaluated solely by individuals who belong to that community/group. SC/ST/OBC-NCL (Non Creamy Layer) candidates must provide a Cast Certificate from competent authorities in the prescribed forms (for SC/ST/OBC-NCL (Non Creamy Layer) candidates) and at the time of Screening / Documents Verification for this purpose.

Note 2 – SC/ST/OBC-NCL (None creamy layer) candidates with the required educational qualifications and age for UR positions are also eligible to apply. As a result, he or she will not be required to submit a cast certificate and will not be eligible for a reservation.

Note 3 – Candidates can apply for either UR or reserved positions.
